Adventure

Adventure

Experience a breathtaking view from the hills of a community during a bicycle tour, feel the adrenalin rush of a canopy tour over lush greenery or get in a convoy of tubes racing through the rapids. Soft adventure is one of the fastest growing segments of Jamaica’s tourist industry.

The island, renowned for the diversity of its landscape within an area of just 4,244 sq. miles (10,991 sq. km) provides a vast range of options for those who like a bit of action.   Take a hike to the Blue Mountain peak rising majestically to 7,402 ft. (2,256 metres). Go rafting on the Rio Grande in the beautiful parish of Portland, considered the cradle of Jamaica’s tourism; or raft on the Martha Brae river in Trelawny, the parish that boasts sprint sensation Usain Bolt as one of her most famous sons.

Jamaica is yours to explore from Negril on the most westerly tip to Morant Point in the East. Fancy a safari on the Black River through Jamaica’s largest wetlands where numerous species of birds may be viewed and crocodiles come over expectantly to greet the visitor.  Why not dive into our dark caves or explore the vast marine life during treks on the ocean floor. Go horseback riding and cliff diving.  Pause for a view of waterfalls gushing to historical towns.  Jamaica is truly a world of adventure.  My Jamaica Travel will take you there.
