FAQs

1. How far in advance do I need to reserve?

At least 10 days prior to travel. To secure your tour we must receive the minimum 50% deposit. Once your deposit is received your place is guaranteed and the full payment is due 5 days prior to tour departure.

2. What is your cancellation policy?

Period of Notice - Cancellation Fee
5 days or more - full refund
4 days - 25% of tour cost forfeited
3 days - 30% of tour cost forfeited
2 days - 50% of tour cost forfeited
24hrs - 100% of tour cost forfeited

3. Are the tours cancelled in case of rain?

No, normally rain is short lived, however in case of severe weather, hurricane or earthquake (over which we have no control) 50% of tour cost will be refunded. Most indoor tours will not be affected by rain.

​

4. When I get there are there any forms to fill out?

Yes, you may be required to fill out a short form and travelers with pre- existing medical conditions are required to complete a medical questionnaire.

5. What is the tipping guideline?

Tips are not included in our prices, such gratuities should be extended on a discretionary basis and are generally greatly appreciated.

6. Where do the tours meet?

Adequate arrangement will be made after booking as we provide transportation in most cases.

​

7. Is there parking available near the meeting location?

This is dependent on the agreed meeting place.

Tour Specific Questions:

​

1. What do we do for lunch on the day of the tour?

Many of our tours include an authentic Jamaican lunch. At the time of booking please advise if you require special meals or have allergies. In the cases where lunch is not included stops will be made to allow you to purchase.

2. How much walking is included?

It depends on the tour chosen - during booking the distance, level of activity and duration of the tour will be stipulated.

​

3. Can you accommodate allergies and food preferences?

Yes, at the time of booking please advise of allergies and food preferences.

​

4. Can anyone take your tours? Kids? Handicaps?

There are some tours that are not recommended for children under a certain age and there are some not recommended for the physically challenged. We will guide you as to what is most suitable.

5. Am I allowed to take pictures during the tour?

For the most part picture taking is allowed. There are a few heritage sites that don't accommodate picture taking indoors.

6. What do I need to bring?

We do recommend water shoes for tours that include water sports, sunscreen, swim suits, towels and a change of clothes .Caps and hats may offer additional comfort and protection from sun and sneakers are good for walking tours.

7. Should I take insect repellent ?

Yes this is the tropics and therefore is home to a few insects of a pesky nature.

Health & Safety Questions:

​

1. Do you recommend travel Insurance?

We recommend you purchase travel Insurance. It is very important that you protect yourself in case of trip cancellation/interruption and medical expenses.

2. How safe it is to travel around in Jamaica?

Like everywhere else in the world we recommend that you protect your valuables as items left unattended can be attractive to the pickpocket or petty thief.

3. What measures your company take to ensure the traveler's safety?

Your tour guide and driver are trained professionals and will be with you all the time - they are equipped with a first aid kit and emergency contact numbers. Precautionary measures are taken to enhance our visitor’s safety.

4. What is the best time of year to visit Jamaica – when is the weather good?

There are two seasons the dry and wet. However during the wet season the downpours tend to be brief and there are tours for all seasons.

​

5. Is smoking allowed?

No smoking is allowed in public places as stipulated by our laws.

​
